$670.00 USD, looking for suggestions to add to my sound system
Ok, I have $670.00 USD, my current setup:
Three 10" subs in box, a Pheonix Gold Sapphire 3.0 is running these, but I am putting alot of stress on the amp. The subs are 1.5 or less Ohm draw, the amp heats up and then goes into protect due to overheat.
Deck: Pioneer DEH-3700MP which is great, does the job
That's all I have at moment. Front speakers are just factory, powered off the deck at moment. Am thinking I need a good amp to power the subs so I don't lose sound to those, then buy speakers for front end and possibly run those off the Pheonix Gold amp?
Car is a 2003 Honda Civic 4 door. Front door speakers are 5 1/2 I think.
Suggestions for amp to power the subs and front speaker upgrades appreciated! Old school or new, doesn't matter, just what I could do with that amount of funds.

I know pretty much what route I need to take, which is get an amp that will run the subs with enough power, and not shut down. And definitely having factory front speakers replaced, and hookup either existing Pheonix amp (should suffice) or if budget allows for two amp purchase.

Was on a budget doing it at the start. They sound good though, so figured I'd continue using them.
I'd like to put the funds into a good amp and to replace the factory speakers, and maybe down the road re-think the three 10" subs and possibly go with two 12" or something.

PM, or I can send you an email?
Thanks,

i have thought off a few things to add while reading through this, first don't mix subs...run all the same stuff, second if your amp is heating up and turning off it's not going to last. My suggestion is too find one more maching sub if you want to keep a three sub set up, if you don't mind a change go down to two or upgrade to something bigger for a 2 or 1 sub set up with the same spl/sq. Then you might find that you can use your amp within it's working loads, and if not sell it and up grade your amp. Lastlly the one thing that will give you alot nicer sq is the door speakers and even without an amp just being powered by your deck you'll notice a world of difference. That's just my 2 cents hope something came of it.
have any pics of your tripple box wouldn't mind taking a look
