i would almost think that dash disassembly is probably over your install level
i would probably suggest strapping the radio to the top of the dash
or maybe just put something heavy to hold it there

I think pinhead was thinkin about a sunbird. The hardest deck i can remeber doin was a 2002 5 series (normally not a hard car to do). This one has factory DSP as well as we were installing a double din eclips nav.
The DSP system runs a datta link between all components, take one component out and everything shuts down.(including the A.D.S 12 channel amplifier in the trunk) 2 days later,a custom dash,a custom relo kit and lotsa smokes.

sombody should take away ty's privilages of using that dang little smile!
but seriosly chunk, want to lay off em just a bit? the thing That I hate about em is that the go all at the same time. if they went off say every 2-3 seconds it would be bad. but they ALL go at the same time. mybe im just paranoid.

so i looked at the car today. it appears that there was an aftermarket deck that was stolen and by stolen i mean someone ripped the whole dash out with it. after that the owner must have put a factory tape deck back in there.
so i took out the vents and everything just sort of fell out. the trim panel and the stock deck. all the clips are broken and the deck was just sitting there on top of the climate control box......
any suggestions as to how to secure the dash adaptor braket in there?

defro u are too far....
on the real tho a 'professional' would probably charge good amount of money to properly afix the unit in the dash......literaly the peice of the dash that holds the unit is ripped out.

then you should really take it to a professionsal, someone that has done major dash repair or replacement. it sounds as if there is serious structural damage to the dash and might be in need of someone, dare i say, with more expereince than you at a major repair of this nature
