My wife and I purchased a 2003 honda element recently, and i was wondering if any of you installers have worked on one of these yet. I want to put a system in it and I'm looking for some ideas. Right now it has the 240 watt honda system with the sub in the center console. I'm thinking of scrapping the factory sub , but I'm wondering how hard its going to be to install a sub in the console. If you haven't seen the sub/console setup in the element I'll try and post some pics.I won't be starting on it anytime soon because I have to finish the system in my truck first.

the only idea i have would involve giving me the element to use for spl competetion purposes. I think this vehicle would be awsome for street class, and i hope you have an interest in doing so with it. if jsut replaicng the stock sub, my suggestion would be an amplified aftermarket 8"... if you want a more in depth idea of what to put in, post a more in depth idea of what you want a system to do for you, and what music you listen to, good luck...

JL just released a Stealthbox with a single 10W3V2 that replaces the front console: http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/ELMNT.html

Honda designed the Element to be versatile and practical. Our Stealthbox™ allows it to sound great at the same time by delivering awesome, up front bass performance. The Stealthbox™ replaces the factory subwoofer system located at the bottom of the dash, between the two front seats, and houses a single, 300 watt 10-inch subwoofer. The downward firing design of this system allows for maximum low frequency output while providing complete protection for the woofer.
