Wow... I feel like I'm going back in time. A friend of mine (whom I installed a system in his old Acura), was asking me about upgrading the system in his Infiniti G35. He currently has the Bose system installed (no Navigation) and misses the SQ he had in his Acura. As some of you might know, the HU in integrated into the dash and he would like to maintain the factory head unit. As I understand it, the Bose amplifier has built a built dsp to control & limit the output of certain frequencies. I would assume that swapping the drivers out will not improve anything. So as I see it, the amp and speakers have to go.

Has anyone used the stock deck with an after market amplifier. Can I get a pre-amp signal from the HU (Front & Rear)? Or must I get a line driver of some kind?
