2010 Impreza WRX factory system upgrade suggestions

Looking for moderate upgrade suggestions as I build a system for a friend.

He needs a head unit, I run a Pioneer Premiere P800PRS but he doesnt need to go that far... something with ipod and usb and good sound processing, a good EQ...

He was thinking of using the under seat sub and i nearly smacked him. $500 for that 80w Peak POS is what the dealership wanted to charge him..

I use JL Audio ZR series in my ride but all he is looking for is increased sound quality and a little more oomph.. nothing trunk rattling. Trying to avoid adding a sub right this minute. Give him a chance to enjoy an upgraded system that will accommodate a sub later.

The car uses 4x6.5" that will fit some of the new 6 3/4" speakers.

I was thinking of using coaxials in the back, ones that are known to be able to carry a bit better midbass and low notes...

up front, components of course.. which I will tune well. JL C5's? I have decent sources for pricing on everything.. better brands for this kind of bang for your buck system?

Are there any hidden sub enclosures designed for this car?
4 door sedan version of the impreza WRX.
He doesnt want to fill his trunk.

i want to be able to push the rear door speakers a bit, have them supply some good fill-in and a little bass, i know my JL's tuned right will pound pretty good for components.. im hoping that will satisfy him without the need for a sub right now, wait for summer when we can pull his panels all off and dynamat, run proper wiring...

dude that is AWESOME! pricey as ****, but... as long as theyre well built its worth every penny.. just have to find a sub to match the enclosure...

still thinking id get better sound out of two tens in a rectangular box in the trunk up behind the rear seats... and still not lose the trunk. but itd be cool if the box is good..
any idea what subs might match that enclosure size well?

i'm not sure about matching that enclosure, to be honest.
Send an email to audio integrations. They are very helpful in that regard. And they have a listing of subs that will fit, for each enclosure, on the site. Not sure which will match in terms of sound.
