2x10s ported vs. 2x12s sealed
Need the specs on the subs to determine if they will even work ported...some won't.
Also need the available space. Some subs need 6 ft each to sound good ported.

i'd say the 2 10s
as soon as you go to a ported box design, you have unlimited options of box size, shape, tuning freq and the works. so i am pretty sure you can get the 2 10s ported louder than the 2 12s sealed... thats just my GUESS, not even an educated guess.
BUT i am just saying this in general, as mentioned above, you dont give enough information to even make an educated guess/

sorry just a general question. My neighbour is thinking of either 2x12" infinity ref 1230s sealed in a 2.5 cube box as per infinity specs or 2x10" ref 1030s in 3.5 cube ported tuned to 28 hz as per infinity's specs. I think the 12's will go lower and output should be very close to the same spl level. both are driven by a 600 watt rms amp at 2 ohms.
