5-1/4" speakers

hey i'm looking for some 5.25" speakers. none comp. anyone have any opinion on what i should get. no amp just power from main headunit. something good, good sounding too. and nothing to expensive. but all opinions allowed

if your just looking for coaxials to run off deck power. get your butt out there..visit a few shops and listen to what they have and make your decision based on that.

I purchased a set of Enery 5.25 from Futureshop. They are a magnificent sounding speaker. In their price range you would be hard to beat them. Right now you can purchase them for $79. I have run them both amplified and not. Obviously you will yield better SQ with them amplified however they did sound excellent on deck power.

anyone else think the Energy 5.25's are any good?

say if your from Dorchester have you been over to foxes on marion st he knows what he's doing and could steer you right, he also has a lot of trade ins from his competition crowd so if your timing is right you could score a really good deal on some gently used high end gear

thanks yes i have been in there and already scored myself some good deals... but thx for the info.
I'm just looking for peoples opinions on what they have and what they think of them.
