I have a customer here that has a 98 TJ Sahara Jeep and wants to have a 4 channel for his fronts so I offered a 5 channel setup and was just wondering what is the best one, I know alpine and concept make one but the alpine is too big and the concept doesn't put out enuf power for his sub any ideas???

nice double post.... he's afraid of putting it under the seats as that's the lowest point in the vehicle and doesn't want the rain to touch it.... any ideas man????

^^^ I have a 92 Yj and have had amps under my seat for years, the main place that my truck leaks is in the back, where the sub box is.

Defro, what other 5 ch amps have you tried and what made the kx700.5 stand out? I'm going to do a budget install and my choices are between a kx700.5 and a Hifonics zx8000, so I'm interested in your thoughts on the Kicker.

Older MTX 5 channels are going for a decent price these days, like the Thunder 405. I used one once, nice amp, it had noise issues though. Also used the Blue Thunder 5 channel, nice one. Probably not a common issue with that line of amps, as I have used the 250D, 4250D, and a Thunder 302 without any issues.
