I used to have a Soundstream Class A 6.0 running a pair of Vifa large format tweeters. Nothing like 1 $1300 amplifier rated at 50 watts running a pair of tweeters.

My personal oppinion, is that a true Class A amp would rock for tweeters.

There aren't very many true class A car amps, my Soundstream's weren't.

My new tweets are a pair of landzar domes for imaging and I cant decide but I see some nice super tweeters I like...

500RMS with a 3" voice coil/bullet in a 5" frame... 109db sensitive 1w/1m and freq response from 2khz up....

What do you guys think ??

Anyone know of what Car amps are true class A? (Aside from the TRU A Class)

Expensive, ineffecient, probably larger in size.... are a few things that come to mind...

I dont think it would be a whole lot different then a similar A/B class amp... but I dont see why anyone would want to go out of thier way for one either....

Thier is a reason they arn't as common as other kinds of amps... [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
