A deal is only so good as the performance that it offers. Now you find out that the deal, all be it a good one, has left something to be desired. Like I mentioned earlier to you, move those speakers to the rear the next time you are ready to upgrade and get the PROPER speakers for the application and not the best deal. Do it once, do it right and you will spend far less $ and have far fewer issues in the long run. For now, enjoy the speakers for what they can offer to you at the good deal you got on them.

 

6.5" comonents would be much better overall in terms of sound quality. However the budget ya keep working with is highly prohibitive to really good sound.
