JL and kicker has some 6 1/2" subs. JL needs a box and kicker is free air witch is perfect for doors

well JL needs a box and besides that im not sure. check out Tang Band stuff if you want

Parts-Express.com - Speakers, Replacement Woofer, Tweeter, Drivers, Subwoofer, Pro Audio, Car Audio, Horn Driver choose the size of subs you want and make sure its 4 ohm or even 2 8ohm in series to make a 4 ohm load.

theres also some other brands in there that would suit you

I haven't really seen a 6.5 yet that can provide near the bass an 8 can or do it in less space. Really... if you have the surface area for a 10, that's probably your best bet.
