I have a pair of Power 8s in the garage. Heavy weave carbon fibre cone on them - look neat. I have 2 pair of the old Pro 8s as well
Really though, I am continually impressed with my MTX 5500-44 8s. Not expensive and great performers. The Kicker L7-8 is a great option as well.

ohh my bad, i have my original manual from my punch HX2s from late 90s or early 2000 and they say the power series didnt come in a 8" version

I've heard the DD 6.5's make a decent small sub. Check it out.

ok well i got one sub and now waiting for the other one to come in cause it's on order
and wow loving it
the new jl 8w3 sounds amazing for an 8 and i would have never knows that it's an 8 playing
i'm running the subs through a PG bass cube and PG titanium 400.2 amp
i'm pretty sure that 2 of these subs will be able to have the output of a 10w7 in the spec jl ported box that i had before the lil subs but i'll update once i get the 2nd monster
