80w musc 40w DIN that the same as max & RMS???

Question

picked up some pieces to start a home stereo....as i was taking my old speakers out, i noticed it said the above numbers on them. And i was just thinin i could possibly connect those up as surround speakers....they run at the correct ohm load either 6 or 8 can't remember.

Only possible prob is my receiver does 100w per channel. Someone give me some feedback here?

the receiver is fine...it works from 6-8ohm.....ok...i'll pick up more speakerwire at future shop then...and i'll have surrount sound heh

I run my crap *** jvc on 4ohm loads and seems to be ok... it kicks out easier runnin my 8 ohm vega's then when using a smaller set of speaker at 4ohm....
