'89 Pathfinder setup?

Ok I'm new to car audio but am willing to learn. What I would like to know is if anyone has any ideas for a decent system for my '89 Pathfinder? I'm looking at spending between $2000 and $2500. I'm not looking for complete and total power good sound quality for various music types Rock, Punk, Dance, House, Jazz, Blues (and so on), with the bass to back it up. Thanks for all the help.

I would do a nice head unit, with a good 4 channel amp, with two channels running a quality set of components up front, and the rear channels bridged to a twelve inch sub. Put the components in kickpanels, and a nice fiberglass amp rack sub box combo for the back.
