I've heard 4 5500-series MTX 8's in a ported setup and I gotta say it was pretty impressive. Mid-140s for SPL too on a SQ-tuned car.

ive got an 8 L7 here but only one haha
ive had a singl 15 set up a type r 15 on 1800 rms |
I feed 4 MTX 5508-44s 300rms each in 3cuft tuned to 35hz. Technically the box is oversized and I am overpowering them by 50% but they never complain. I've been beating the snot out of them for 3 years and no failures. For $150 or so a pop, I'm really happy with them.
And whoever mentioned 'missing' the lows - no. :smokin: |
Audioque's SD series 8" FTW
and if you can find them, the SOundsplinter rl-I 8" |

These are not 8's, maybe 7's, 6's?...they are on sale for $37.50 U.S., cheap enough? 200/400 WRMS. 10 of them would be pretty "wow".
