steve meades tahoe only does about 155 on 4 18s , the smd isnt really that loud of a sub basically just a bass race sub or a promotional item

 

ya i mean only a 55 in a no wall setup, all behind the c pillar, can still carry 5 people comfortably.....

i dont want to have an argument, cause i know its going to happen, but i will give much more credit to someone who does a 50 on music @ mid 30hz than someone who does 50hz+...

i have sat in cars that have done only 145's on music that beat the living snot out of you. does that mean its 'soft' just cause it doesn't meter well? hell no. but unfortunately, the only thing people seem to care about is the meter...

 

you gotta realize that a car that can do 155 at 50hz will still beat the snot out of you at 30hz while doing 145 on music.

Well, Steve believes he has the best product now, he wouldn't use the best sub a company has to offer, only to reject it and get another to build him one instead.

Then again, everything he does has a contract behind it, so he's kinda tooting his own horn now too.

He's gone through a lot of equipment, in the guy's defence though.

 

I don't know, you guys talk about tuning a vehicle for the meter, a guy tunes differently to dip low on music. And therefore, his metered score will be effected. Therefore, I don't think its necessarily fair to compare apples to apples when it comes down to it, they're not. You can agree or disagree, its just a thought to consider.

 

thats why he runs rockford fosgate , just because they cost alot doesnt make them supperior to everyone else
