93 civic remote trigger installation???

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to properly install a remote trigger for the amplifier? There's one installation shop that would connect it directly to the ignition coil - so as oon as you insert the key in (without turning the head unit on), it gives 12 volts to remote line of the amplifier. Theoritically speaking, this connection would turn the amp on before the headunit and with a 1200watts setup - this actually gives a loud feedback from the subwoofer.

Please educate. Thanks.

Chris, tie it into the ignition line behind the factory radio. Put a 1 amp fuse on this line at the front end of it as well.

installation short cuts???

I know that Rob. I just couldn't think a reason why would someone do such a lazy and ####!!!$? installation. I thought am missing some new trick but I guess that's what differentiate them from pros. Thanks for your opinion Rob.

Ha, I misread how you worded the sentence Chris. I see the error in the ways.
