96 Civic Si Setup

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for looking and considering assisting me...

I have a 96 Si..
A Pioneer mp77 deck...
I want a system that sounds great..good sounding bass is important but doesn't have to bounce the car around.
The car fits 6x9 in the rear and 6.5 in the doors.
It has tweeters at the top of the doors.
It also has wiring into the trunk for an amp, and I have a JBL 2 channel amp already.
I'm wondering if I use the factory tweeters, and put good speakers in the doors and the rear, will that suffice? Should I hook my amp up to the 6x9's? Should I get a subwoofer? If so where would I put it.
Thanks for looking and any suggestions.

Personally, I'd rip the rear speakers out, toss in some after market components in front, amp them and toss a 10 or 12 in the back. Something around 300 watts or so.
