just curious, would the pg a1600d be under power for my 2 12" alpine type r's, new style 500w rms each 1500 peak. ported box? im lookin for an amp or 2 for these subs, and i just cant turn down the deal im getting on this pg, $150 new

i have one of the r's hooked to my rf 200s lol and it pounds pretty good. i cant wait to get some more power to them.

 

The type r's really need more power to get them moving im sending my 12" 1000 watts rms it take it like a champ. You should atleast send them 700 rms per sub.

For the enclosure you should make a box around 4 to 5 cu ft and tune it 30 to 35hz.

 

k thanks,i have a 500 watt rms amp right now and the pheonix gold on, would it be alright to run the each on seperate amps even if the amps are not the same type or wattage, or would this be a bad idea...this would just be temporary until i can get 2 mrd 1005's
