Actual RMS output of an A 8002T
#1
Just wondering if anyone knows if Audiobahn quotes RMS power figures for their amplifiers.
I am looking for 800watts RMS to power 2 Eclipse 15" subs. The amp I have (A8002T) now is rated for 800 watts @ 4ohms. (I have two 8 ohms subs) Alls well if they are quoting RMS figures, but I can't find anywhere in the manual or their web site that says if it is RMS or not.
Here is the amp if this helps.
Audiobahn A8002T
Thanks for any help,
Later,
Brad

I had the A4002T I think it was, it was alright but the weak pre-outs on my alpine didn't help to much but then I got a line driver and was big difference I never had a problem with mine... never really got all that hot either... and punched my Kicker Comp Vr 12" pretty decent...

Take it with a grain of salt.....but a friend of mine benched tested a A12001DT (if I remember correctly.) that is supposed to put out 750x1 RMS at 2 ohms mono. His reading was closer to 560 watts RMS. BUT.....I don't know if it was A. a defective amp or B.properly tested.
