Add USB Drive support to Pioneer AVH-P6700
Hey, I know that this is available Pioneer Electronics - Sound. Vision. Soul
but its doesn't list my head unit. I have the ipod thing, but i only have a mini so its 4gb. I have an external 60gb hard drive that id like to throw music on and listen to in my car. Any ideas?
PS I dont wanna go through the whole FM tuner if thats possible.

I've got the same thing, except I have 2 ipods (1gb nano and 15 gb 2nd generation i believe)
The only problem with running an external hard drive in your vehicle would be the size.
It looks like that would be ideal, and maybe where you go to buy the part just look at the connections and see if it'd connect to your deck.
Good luck, its a great idea to do so, just have a 200 GB external with music

come to think of it, rather than getting an "x-disc cd changer" i should just do up an external drive as well. I was thinking since I have the 7" clarion screen i might be able to get it to be a functioning operating system of some sort, even if it's worse than ms-dos style
