Advice

Okay I know being on this site I'm way over my head but I just need a lil advice.
I have 4-6.5 kappa infinitys(62.7?) wired to 4-channel infinity amp. plus 2-12inch subs (rockford) with rockford amp P3001 1-channel. I can't remember all the numbers with the system. But I just really want loud speakers now, what would you advise.
I'm in the mid-range for spending.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Well if I understand your post, your wanting to get rid of the infinity 6.5's to replace them with something else mid rang. I would suggest maybe the Polyglass series from Focal or mid rang CDT loud speakers.

Whats your budget?

Pick up some infinity/jbl entry-level components and have them installed/tuned at a shop who knows what they're doing.

My advice is tell us where you are located and get the name of a nearby shop. If you are "over your head" here, someone will know a decent shop in your area that can make sure you have your present setup properly tuned and installed.

The equipment listed is capable of producing good sound, it may just need tweaking, which is much cheaper than buying new stuff.....

Louder = more power and or more speakers. Louder for the most part is primarily a function of the subwoofer system. That said though, the bigger you go on the sub system, the more you need to pay attention to the main speakers. You do not want to have a monster power imbalance in your system, IE: you don't want to be a tweeter wagon any more than a bass machine.

Different speakers might be in order, then more power on them. If you are happy with the bass response in the subs, leave them alone. If you are not, change the box first. Then attack the subs with power.
