I have an '89 Cevy Cavalier Z24 and there is an air leak through the passenger side window. The air is leaking through the glass run channel (a 6' piece of rubber) which has a crack in it. This part is very hard to find as GM does not manufacture it for 1989 cars anymore.

Is there any substance that I can smear onto the crack to close it???

Thanks...Keith.

Go to pick a part in calagary, i know that up here in Edmonton there is tons of those cars at the self serve auto wreckers. A piece of weather stipping will only cost a few dollars, go to Pick a Part of Calgary, and see if you can dig one up, hope that helps
