Cables are wire..........................copper is copper............certain little thing called the law of physics.............

Do a ABX test BLINDFOLDED and I will bet anyone too that they can't hear the difference.......................

People want to hear a difference cause they thing they should, it's all in your head...................

the ONLY way i've heard any difference between cheap and expensive rca's, are when you install them along side of a bunch of power wires, and induce some interference.
proper installation will yeild better results, than product alone.

I'll bring the Q-Tips .

OK, here's a simple way to see if interconnects make a difference.
Ideally a Hi-Fi VCR should be used, but in a pinch, your old analog tape recorder will suffice.
Set your recording levels(clean tape heads would be nice), start the recording with a new blank tape (VHS Hi-Fi, or Chrome tape no dolby) using one type of cable, pause the player and tape recording, change the wires, and continue where you left off.
Listen back to the recording, you should be able to notice a subtle difference in recording levels (in some cases) and change in detail/depth.

Clean out the bad ear wax... and put in some audiophile ear wax that will make the highs sound more crisp, the subs have more punch, and the mids a bit on the warm side.

Man...everybody has something good to say.

Some people are sticking their neck out, while others are simply sharing their experience.

The funny thing is, I don't care if I'm right or wrong, I just like talking about this stuff now. I see 5 approaces to this topic.

1.) No, it's not possible to have a difference.
2.) In my experience, I haven't experienced a difference.
3.) I've experienced differences, but I can't explain why.
4.) There are differences and I can prove it.
5.) There are differences, and nobody can tell me I'm wrong.

For the record, I have heard the biggest sonic differences in networked cables...and I liked them a lot! That kind of comparison, I admit, is a bit unfair...which I've already mentioned.

But, the blind test that I've mentioned above was with Monster Cable XLN-Pro, and Kimber Cable KCAG. Both were the same length, in a parked car with the ignition off. NO networks.

I may be in the GTA area this summer for an SQ competition and to visit friends. Anyone that would like to try their own cables, my car is setup to do that pretty easily. I think it would be fun, even if I was found to be wrong. Anyone else here got the ***** to admit that?

People are funny.

I was just wanting to see what everyone had to say about the topic and it seems everyone has had different experiences with all kinds of products.

I personally have noticed a difference and know how the difference in materials / connectors / design can affect the sound.

Everybody can tell me I'm wrong, I have every right to be wrong, just as everyone else does, and it's my duty to defend their right to be wrong .

Look at it this way, what are the differences between all the cars out there, they all get you to the same place, yet the prices are ridiculously worlds apart from a Kia to a Lexus.
If there wasn't a difference, there wouldn't be all the choices we have in brand names.

^^^Defro that's probably more accurate of my experiences...more of the apples to oranges type of comparison.
