Okie, heres the scenario.....

Just did my install this weekend....two Tsunami amps, 2 Planet Audio 10's and all Knu Konceptz wiring....

Everything went fine...when I left everything worked...

Get in my car this morning...no bass!! I think for a while as im driving....i turn the deck off and change the non-fading preout setting...turn the deck on and VOILA!! We have bass.....I think im all set to go..

Leave work, exact same thing happens, change the setting to something else, and we have bass again...

Now for the really weird parts:

1) The deck is not losing power or memory as all my eq's and clock and everything is fine...

2) If i change the setting to get bass, turn the deck off, remove the faceplate and put it right back on again, it still all works...but if i leave it for any length of time, i seem to get this problem..

The deck is a Pioneer Premier DEH-P650 and the only other wire we hooked up was the Illum wire so the deck gets dimmer when i turn the headlights on..

Any ideas would be greatly aprpeciated!!!!

Tell us more about how you wired everything. RCA's from what outputs to what inputs...... remote, power/ground. Is the deck new or used. ANyways, it sounds really simple to ask this but you'd be surprised at what silly things one can do when hooking up a system............. go through the whole wiring setup in detail on paper and then double check what you actually did.

Okie...the deck was new a few months ago...

Everything was working fine before the install..however i was not using the sub preout...

The only think we touched was plugging in the sub out RCA, wiring up a new remote..which is working and wired in the illum wire (that was not hooked up before)

The RCA's are run correctly to the amps becuase my fade and balance goes between the proper speakers...

If you want more info just let me know!

Try a relay on the remote line.

Hey, it's an idea!

Let me know if it helps.

There is a relay on the remote wire...

Furley: 2000 Pontiac Sunfire GT

We used the GM wiring guide to hook everything up..

I just went to look at it on my lunch and i realized the amp keeps going into protect mode...but the weird think about that is that it goes protect when i turn it on initially, then goes green the second time i turn it on...UNLESS....i turn the amp on and off really quick then it doesnt go into protect..

y'all think i got a busted amp??
