Watching 4 sony 10's beat everyone in an spl run (but 2 people) is one of the most impressive things I have seen in a very long time.

You know for all the years that I have been competing in car audio everyone has told me that sony is one of the worst brands to buy. Usually to do well in car audio you need to spend lots of money ( like me ) well that is not the case for my best bud sony boy he spends less money on his system and is just a bit louder then me. Well all I can say for him is sony rocksd no matter what anyone says and if I could start all over I would buy an entier sony system! [img]graemlins/@bow.gif[/img]

A friend of mine is runnin a sony 1200 watt amp and another amp to his 15" DD sub that takes up the ENTIRE trunk. and that thing is LOUD and HEAVY! He dropped it on my fingers when tryin to lift it out lmao. owww [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

the reason that people say Sony car audio is crap is simple...in all other electronics fields Sony is the leader (imo), they make the best stuff in all fields...except car audio. I just know cause I seen one beside a sony twice in 2 differnet stores and noticed the difference lol That and my older sister has like a huge 57" (I think) Widescreen tv lol. 
I was kinda dissappointed in it tho not big enough lol. My college has a 60" lol

actually I can't figure out what the purpose of this thread really is other than a bunch of believers trying to convince people that know better than Sony DOESN'T suck. It does suck and not only for SPL either.
Am I the only one that is going to actually point out that 140 with 4 subs also sucks??? LOL I hooked up 2 Sony 12's once to an old school Rodek that was rated for 2x150 RMS... The subs were rated for well more and they lasted barely long enough to get a laugh out of them.
On the other hand, if you think that the future shop and best buy "premium" brand is the way to go, then go for it, just don't preach it because some kid with a pizza face says so or because someone hit 140 with 4-10's.
