I was using an RF 160x4 ('96) before, and this time I will be running a 400x4 ('96). Taken from the manual:

Input Sensitivity Variable from 150mV to 3V
Preset at the factory for 500mV

That rating is the same for both amps.

Nice, give us a review as soon as you can! Thanks. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay? PM me if you feel more comortable doing that. Thanks!

Ross

P.S. Alberta only has GST, correct? If I wanted to be really cheap, could I order a deck from Calgary for example, have it shipped here, and save PST?

I won't have a chance to have it in for probably a week or so....but I really like the deck. You could probably save the PST....but I doubt it would be worth it with the shipping costs.

I run an Alpine 9835, and so far the sub out is on par with my old Pioneer 7300. Same sub amp... (1000BD), cant say much in comparison for the mids and highs, as I was running off the HU with the Pioneer.... but, once I get the RF 550S and the 350S hooked in I'll let you know how I like the sound... well, more the 550S, since I'm gonna use stock power for rear fill, and the 350S to power two in-trunk speakers for when I'm partying away with the car on the beach! I'm also going with a new sub setup this winter, where I'll be sealing off the trunk and having the subs facing into the cabin all sealed off! So soon I wont be able to make any comparisons... Thanks for the offer, Justin Poo. I have looked at the Eclipse line, and I think they are an excellent product, the controls on the deck feel very solid and well engineered. Unfortunately, as I drive a Jeep, I would rather go with a detachable face. I understand the concept behind ESN, but here in Vancouver I would rather have the option to take the face with me. The average crackhead around here will look in the window, see a deck, and go to town. Down the road if I own a vehicle that is more secure, I would love to go Eclipse, and build some sort of custom deck cover. I think I will go with the 9833.
