alpine amp cur error

alpine amp cur error

Hey guys I'm having a problem I keep getting this cur error...on my alpine mrd m1005 its pushing 1..hdc312 soundque not too sure if I wired the sub right...I tied in the red wired to red and the black wired to black... I'm guessing that 2 ohm well I see the volt drop from 14 to 12 too 10 then cur error I gotta keep the gain low if not the amp cuts off thanks for the help

cur error probaly means not enough current. Voltage dropping too low. Just a guess. If you're watching the voltage drop from 14 to 12 to 10 then see the error that's probaly the problem.

You have either crazy voltage drop or you wired your sub down too low causing your amp to protect.

At 2ohms that amp is good for 1000watts. Your problem might be the fact that you're using 8gauge wire thus the voltage drop. Or your battery is near dead. 4 Gauge would be alot better aswell.

Thank for the reply back guys I'm going to pull out the 8g wired and put in 4g hopefully that show do the trick

If you plan to add more amp or upgrade in the future, then, you might as well run 1/0 wire, would save you the work.

also take the time to make sure you have a good ground. Keep your cable as short as possible and have it on a non painted surface.

I swap out the 8g too a 4g weird 100 amp fuse it way better now...I could crank it up more but I'm still getting this cur error it might be my ground there still a little bit of paint on the ground.. that it hard to remove infiniti really use good paint lol

use a wire wheel on a cordless drill.
