I thought the way to sell them was cost +5. It seems it's the only way the customer buys them.
j/k Too many customers are wowed by the flashy displays and raw performance is low on their list.
Personally I really would like a chance to run the 9220 in the truck for a DBDrag and see if the 50 ohm preouts walk all over my 300 ohm Alpine CDA9835. Looks are no longer an issue with me anymore just tunability and performance.
Although without a harness in the truck I am limited as to how many more HU changes I can attempt. Plus the store manager is sick of my upgrades and testing although it helps me sell a crapload of product. Real vehicle testing is much more impressive to the client over a board demo.

Joe, I truly believe that the 8 volts at 50 ohms RMS from a RFX9420 would be too much for you... you would probably pee yourself -- enjoy your lights and bling that don't do a thing -- oh, and read the owner's manual... it is more than 300 ohms!
The 9833 and 9835 have 300 ohm preouts. Or so I am told right from the horses mouths. But you never know what a REP will tell you.
BTW I quit peeing myself after a terrible smelting accident. Isn't that veird?

preamp volatge and impedence isnt the be all tell all of car audio. what has to be considered is the amps that will be getting the signal, some need far less that others to achieve maximum output before audible clipping. read the manual of the input sensitivity of your amps,
