Red face Alpine cda-9885

Does the Alpine cda-9885 have a regular jack for and auxiliary input?

I was looking for a good deck to use my Ipod shuffle g2 on. this Ipod only has usb and headphone connections.

I really liked the look and feel of this unit. I only got to see it for a few minuted before I had to go out of the local car stereo shop.

no but it has a ai net port and with a $30 alpine bacle you can turn it into RCA's.
I then have a cable that turns the rca's into a mini stero (headphones) plug.

I use this setup for my Sirius.

Is every one happy with their Alpine cda-9885 who has one?

I plan on getting one. I just fell in love with the interface, looks and feel.

I'm quite happy with my 9855. I came from the old alpine 9856. The interface is awesome and works flawlessly with my ipod. There are alot of other decks out there with more customizability, but for the looks and the price, I feel the 9855 is excellent. Esp. like how it's red so it blends in quite nicely with my subie interior.

I have a 9885 and it dissapoints me because the lack of EQ. There is basically no eq on the HU. You have to buy an external EQ for that. If it had an EQ it would be just fine...and a slide face would be nice too instead of the basic flip-down e-mail me if you have any questions about the deck.

Talking

Well, I do have a pioneer EQ-6500 at my disposal. Would any one suggest using that. Or just go with the head unit?

My system is very, very modest. I have a Panasonic dp-875--OLD but works ok.
2 Rockford Fosgate 10" punch XLC 4 ohm subs in a removable custom box, and a MTX x300dp
Running off the deck is 2 2way Kenwood 6.5s and in the front is 2 Panasonic 5.25s and 2 tweeters. Sounds nice. I actually didn't hear the subs yet in the Tracker with that amp (just got the amp).
I do have an older Kenwood kac 646 I could use for the fronts and rears.

Mostly I just want a nice sounding system. I have 2 younger kids, they don't need to be deaf, hehe!
