alpine hu: biolite vs. other lcd

i'm just curious to know if the biolite displays operate better in the cold than the normal lcd displays.

they're an organic electroluminescent display.

most companies call them OEL displays, but alpine has to be different [img]graemlins/jack.gif[/img]

We had -37ish here last week and my BioLite display CDA9835 worked flawlessly. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

I believe OEL is a Pioneer trademark.....therefore Alpine can't use that name.
