most of us don't like to do your shopping for you.

You can do an online search as well as the rest of us. I found 108.00 US in about 22 seconds.

You could talk to the vendors on this site, by pm, by phone or by e-mail.

Or, you could step away from the computer..... and actually go to a store.
I find the Cash in Hand approach works best. Really! Try walking around a car audio shop with cash in your hand. Not only do you get great service, you'll get a great deal.
Buying package deals or systems is definately the best pricing you'll find.
Buying one item at a time, one from each vendor, is the really expensive way to build a system. Been there, done that!

Good Luck.

I have a quick question about an Alpine type R. I have one 12 hooked up to an alpine amp (m650). Is it even possible to blow my sub?

Absolutely. If your amp is clipping it will cook it up nice. Make sure you set your gains and crossovers on your amp properly...

I wish I could set them properly but I dont know how since I'm new to the car audio scene. Right now I believe all the dials on the amp are set in the middle. Is there any specifc way I should have them set?

There are a few gain setting tutorials out there, find one that has the by ear method, and its quite easy to do if you have a nice quiet place to work.
