Alpine Type R or Rockford P3

Hi Guys,
I just removed my two PG Xmax 12" subs and bought 2 brand new Alpine 12" Type R subs for $250 each. BTW, is that a good deal? Anyways, I was thinking of returning those and getting 2 Rockford Fosgate 12" P3 subs for $300 each. Is that a good price? I auditioned both subs and the P3 was noticeably louder and deeper. Should I keep the Type R's or return them and get the P3's?

where were they demoed, in a car or a show room, and what kind of box were they in. many times shops will just throw woffers in any box lying around, ideal or not, my point is, make sure the woofers were in the right box before you make the desicion and ask to demo in your car, if they are already loaded in a box any shop should allow you to hear it in your vehicle first
