Alright. Everyones Input On This.

So basically. I ride around with all my friends. They all have good systems. Yet i basically dont know anything about sound systems. NOr do i have a car.

So i want to build a half decent system in my room. Im thinkining spending up to 600 bucks. Just something that is good. Ill build the houseings myself. I want like 2 subs, 2-4 speakers, amp for the subs, and a decent head unit that will power the speakers. What else do i need. Do i need a battery in this case? or is there other ways to get the power. Name me everything i need to have to complete this. PLus give me preference or brands that fit my price range. thanksss

Buy a mini bookshelf system. Cheaper and easier till you get a car.

Don't use the Car Audio jackhammer either, or you will put a hole in your house...

are you looking for just a good stereo sound system or a home theatre surround setup? Are you willing to buy something used on ebay or other classified add?

buy the logitech z5500s attach it to your comp and call it done, you won't be disappointed in the output these lil speakers got...that's depending on ur budget..if not get the z-560s or 650 of those..can't remember the model

i have 5500s hooked to my comp..plus a 5.1 surround in teh room (not one of those pansies that come in a box)..seperate towers, rears, center, and ofcourse the reciever...my room is teh party room..heh
