the only thing that had changed was the speakers .... right ? so why would the alt go ? and whay would the hu go. the oter speakers were bieng run off that same system and there were no changes. now with new speakers theres a noise. i would really have to say its the speakers. dont do anything else untill you try that. its the easiest and the quickest to find out, the other thing to do is disconect the speaker out on the amp and see if that makes a difference. and keep removing speakers untill the nose goes away

i bet you anything its your deck and NO WAY your alt...people told me the same thing when i had the problem...ill bet a case of beer that its ur deck...get a new one BUT just to test to make 100% sure, take a piece of wire strip at both ends. touch one side to the metal part of the RCA that connects to the back of the deck and the other to the metal part of the deck...noise should be gone or reduced alot if its the deck...for me it was all but gone so i got a new deck and im back in biz...

FYI it happened to my NEW premier deck after a year again and i just got it back from repairs and working again

because pioneers have weak preout grounds ... he could have done something to make them go, trust me it dosent take alot, it happened to me 2times within the last 2 years and it was after i touched my system a bit, not even the deck so its possible.

ok i pulled the speakers from the doors (both at the same time) and the whine is still there while the car is on and there is a faith static noise with the engine off and key at the 'ON' position.

i guess i have to ground the rca's at the deck

told ya...its the deck, solder a wire to the rca to a perm ground or get a new deck or send it for repair...

but the good thing is you didnt go crazy trying to find the problem for a month like i did.
