amp + component speakers??
hey i am wondering if
a pair of Phoenix Gold X5.0 component speakers:
150wrms/300wmax, 4 ohm
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4234_Phoenix+Gold+X5.0.html
would be able to be wired up and sound good with a Alpine MRV-T500 2 channel Amp V12:
50x2 rms into 4ohms
100x2 rms into 2ohms
200x1 rms into 4ohms Bridged
http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39025
i know its super old but... 30$
i am unsure as to how the speakers can be wired up to operate with different resistances or if i could get a better suited amp for what im doing, i also need to push two 6x9s on my rear deck too sometime...
thanks

you can't wire spakers to work on different resistances.
I'd like to ask why you are considering those particular speakers?. if it's based on the wattage ratings I'd like to let you kow that it is actually one of the least important factors to consider when purchasing speakers. the only thing that rating tells you is how much heat the voice coils can dissipate.
Other ratings such as THD, Frequency response and sensitivity are all fantastically more useful.
Even with the best rating, the ear is always the final judge
with that amount of power available, one can never...ever go wrong with a set of Focal 130V.1's (if your reall stuck to a 5" speaker)

sorry, i was confused i ran into problems as my subs could be wired many different ways. as for the components, price was a big factor, i am buying them used off of someone local who has sold me stuff before, and i have a PG sub and i love it. if i were to stick to the set gear, is it possible to wire everything in such a way to achieve the mentioned 100 or 200 w configurations?
