Well, 2 months ago I bought a brand new Clarion APX1301. Worked perfectly for the time it was working.

Then today, I was driving down to the college when my sub stopped. Soon the car was filled with the lovely smell of burning electronics. I knew something died.
Turns out that amp lit on fire.(well, something of the sort. Its all black inside, and bubbly) No Idea how. My other amp (on the same wires) is just fine.

So, I currently have a 10' Kicker (CVR) rated at 400W RMS. Its a DVC 4ohm.

I'm looking for an amp (preferably on ebay. though, I've never bought anything from this forums 'buy and trade' and I would consider it)
The amp needs to be at least 400W rms, at 2ohms. I have no problem buying a higher rated amp, and I almost want to.

On ebay, I've found a 400W RMS class D Kicker amp for $140 shipped. Its refurbished (anyone care to comment on refurbished amps? more so by kicker. ie. Works like it should?)

I'm open to suggestions, though I'm going to stay away from clarion this time around.

If nothing, can someone at least suggest a good brand, that wont die in 2months (I know, I probably got a lemon, but still..)

MTX6001 would work for you and not destroy your woofer.

Regardless of what you get, send the Clarion in for repair.
