JL Audio 8w7-3

JL Audio 300/4 x2 (OR) Focal FP 2.75 x4

JL Audio 1000/1

Which amps should I use for the components? The JL's are great and I have not heard much of the Focals as many dealers do not stock them let alone show them off. Or am I missing the boat completely and should I be looking for different amps.

 

I think anyone here answering your question would be doing you a disservice.. with the equipment you intend to purchase, or already have, I think you should do your own research rather than telling people to explain your own equipment to you... you'll get more satisfaction out of it...

What vehicle is this equipment for and what items do you already have?

 

Honestly, you won't find better equipment, just opinions. The only limitation you really have is the install and tuning. Have at it!!

 

Its going in a 2000 GMC Sierra regular cab. I have 72sq ft of dynamat extreme to put in first, possibly another 36sq ft if the 72 wont make it. The doors will be re-worked to accomodate, as well as the a-pillars and kick panels, center console box will hold the 8w7 up front and 12w7 as far back as it goes. As of now the only pieces I do not have are the utopias and the component amps for them, as well as the 1000/1. I just want sum opinions on good SQ amps for an active 4-way front setup. I think JL would fill my need, but if there is sumthing outstanding out there that isnt Brax let me know plz.

As for tuning I look forward to the headache of a 31band eq, 4 way crossover points, 3 separate sub systems and time alignment. lol.

 

For SQ Amps go look into Nakamichi or McIntosh but not cheap you get what you pay for

 

good amps, but not suited to my setup, i think either jl or focal. brax is very tempting but cost arms and legs and eye sockets
