I am thinking of buying a used ED10a but I'm not sure which amp would get the job done for a SQ installation. Here are the details on the requirements.

Dual 2 Ohm voice coil

Box Size / Type : O.5cF Sealed
Power Recommendation : 300-1000 WRms
Box Size / Type : 1.OcF / Vented tuned to 30Hz.
Power Recommendation : 300-800 WRms

Also..sealed or ported for SQ?

Thanks for looking.

If your serious about picking up a 10a, pm JohnyToronto, he has one and he has the eD spec ported box for it. I would go with ported and anywhere from 400-800wrms @ 1ohm. Alot of choices out there in that area.

JT is the guy I will be buying it from if I'm able to gather up enough spare cash. I hate the post Christmas being broke period.

Awesome man, if you do decide to get it and you are picking it up, get him to hook it up to an amp if he has one installed. That little thing impressed the hell outta me of J's little kenwood amp which was only probably doing around 450wrms. Anything above that would be plenty for the sub but dont go more than 800wrms. Also the box is a little ghettofied as he didnt want people thinking it was a nice setup but if he recarpets it and stuff its the exact box from the site that i built, it sounds amazing.

If you have a chance check out PAS magazine. Dave MacKinnon just did a review on the e10O, great review.

Also since you are mostly looking for SQ I would suggest approx. 500W rms. There is alot of really great amps out on the market, just look for one that has the features you are looking for.

something between500-800wrms would be awesome, there are so many options for that range out there. Find something that suits your budget, aesthetics, features and something that does the power at 1 or 4ohm.

I have the December issue of PAS but I couldn't find the article. Are you talking about the January issue?

Thanks.

Its in the new issue with the Sentra on the cover, the color scheme is red. The issue before that was babyblue.
