Cranking the gains in to distortion... playing below the tuning frequency of your box. Things like that.

Ur gonna have to really crank up the distortion to actually cause woofer death.. but if you are on the brink of meltdown it won't help much... lol..

ur running it at 4 ohm mono?

so u bridged the amp to one channel. and then how did u make it go to the subs?

did u basically take that 4 ohm source and split it among all the voicecoils?

i made each sub 8 ohms and then paralleled the subs to make them 4 ohm mono. where did you get the stuff because most audio stores will wire it for you.

Don't bother with running mono.
Running 4 ohm mono will give you the same power as 2 ohm stereo - 800wrms total

Stereo: 2 x 400wrms @ 2 ohms
Each 4 ohm Voice coil receives 200 watts. Grand total of wattage between all 4 coils adds up to 800 watts.

Mono: 1 x 800wrms @ 4 ohms
The amp will see two 8 ohm loads and give 400WRMS to each load. Each of the 4 ohm coils that makes the 8 ohm load will get 1/2 of the 400wrms. Therefore, each coil will get 200wrms. Grand total of wattage between all 4 coils adds up to 800 watts.

Wire it in stereo. Its easier. There are no power gains with mono. But you need to wire in series with mono (I'm not a fan of series when it can be avoided)
