is this amperage alright for my alt?
guys, i got a 105amp stock alternator. this will not suffice for my 2000watt RMS system. but the biggest alternator made for my car is 140 because the brackets are not common and such. do you think this will be enoguh?

Find a place that builds custom alternators, or perhaps brackets as well.
I suppose you'll want to know where too know eh!
I'll let some Ontarians answer that question.

well you could always find a machine shop they could always make brakets, but you could try getting a second batt. or even try a deep cycle batt... cuz I am running a 2000rms + 1400 watt amp (just the subs) in my '90 safari with no problems... just use a cap, and you should be ok...

go to a welding shop and spend the money on a custom set of brackets. the alternator upgrade will help the most. extra batteries just adds strain to the already strained alternator. my opinion is the bigger alt and custom brackets. that way you can have the juice.
