Amusing

what I find amusing is that auto manufacturers still put ****ty stock audio equipment in their cars. It really surprises me that in this day and age of mergers and big business that a company like say alpine or jlaudio...etc.. hasn't teamed up with honda (popular car for the younger crowd) and started rollin cars off the lots with kickpanels.. and speaker/sub enclosures specifically designed for the car integrated in. It just doesn't seem right that door speakers/****ty deck/no sub are still the norm.. especially when now pretty much every home theatre or ever computer audio setup has a sub included.

BUT on the note about factory stereos - less than 1% of 1% wants anything better than the stock crap. Not economical usually.
Having said that, Nissan offers Clarion/RF stuff in a couple of models and the Mustang can come with a half decent stereo too.
Of course in most cases, the upgraded factory stuff costs about double what you would pay retail for better gear.
