Talking Another bunch of random questions...

Alright, here they are:

1. Can I have the car running when I burp at a spl comp (street class)??

2. Can I fold down the back seat in my blazer during an spl comp (street)?? I read in the rules that you can in cars but I tried finding that section again to recheck suv’s but I couldn’t find it.

3. Alright, I would say that INSIDE of my car my 10” orion is about as loud as my two 15” kickers (when my kicks were at volume 23/40 and my orion at 30/40). But when I go OUTSIDE of the car I can’t even here the orion. With my two 15s I could here them from like a mile away. Why is this????? (I am guessing that they displace around the same amount of air creating around the same pressure inside the car but the 15’s had more moving mass that vibrated the crap out of everything??? )

4. How do I measure how many amperes my alt is putting out????

Thanx guys for any help.

well I think that it would be pretty hard for 1 x10" to move more air than two quality 15's. I believe you are generating lower bass frequencies with your 15's and as we all know, lower frequencies can be heard further away. You are probably getting more upper bass with the 10, which sounds louder (and may be at certain frequencies), but i doubt that it generates higher spl over a larger frequency range.

I get what you are saying. Yes this sub hits the higher frequencies around 40-50 very well. I miss them really low ones but I need space back in my trunk so I guess it'll have to do. Oh boy though, popping in the song bass mechanik by bass mechanik (lol) was CRAZY with my two 15's. I mean, you could just feel it everywhere and flowin through the body and YA! THAT WAS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha

Anyone else got any help with the other 3 questions???

#1 i think aslong as you have it at 2000rpm or less
#2 yes
#3 then your 15s are bad or your box is nfg
#4 it will be 140 or less (i would go to a parts store and ask what does a 199?-200? blazer have as an alt ?

Your vehicle has to be off if you're in the db drag street class I believe, but it can be running for super street though.
