I cracked my IDQ 10 along the cone when I over stuffed my trunk. Anyone know if this can be repaired? My shop told me that it is a lost cause.

This has given me an excuse to start looking at upgrades. My shop offered me the following
- Two 12" ARC Audio D4 KAR subs in a sealed box
http://www.arcaudio.com/arc/navigation/kar12dprodp.htm,

- Alpine MRP-M350
(http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...=140&p_main=10),

- Wired and installed for 1000

it has been a while since I last looked at audio so any commentary and opinion on the gear and price would be appreciated

Depending on how bad the crack is, you should be able to fix it with epoxy.... the less is more rule applies here... you want the broken sides lined up perfectly and as little epoxy as possible...

Cyanoacrylate (super glue) will also work...

If you don't mind mass loading the driver, add a little texured paint and it will look like a new speaker...

There is some stuff out there called flash I do believe, it is stronger then super glue. Id ont know how it is for elasticity though.

I'd use Wurth Glue, it'll bond that thing together and never come apart
