Any Issues with using old equipment for the first time?
I have several amps that are old and some that are still new which are over 10 to 15 years old.
I was wondering if there could be any issues with me powering them up for the first time.
I"m talking about old Hifonics vii and viii amps to be specific.
I also have lots of old subs that I used to have in my car that are mint and I wanted to use them in my car this summer. Are there any possible issues there?
Let me know what you guys think.
Should I do some preventative measures before I start testing them out?

mmmm....Hifonics...:)
A buddy of mine is using 18 year old Hifonics amps in his truck. He took them all apart, cleaned them up, took care of a couple of cold solder joints and put them back together. They are still working fine 2 years later....
As for woofers, if the cones still move OK and the surrounds are in good shape, they should work....might want to take it easy power-wise at first....
