Anyone have experiance with Clarion dpx 11500?

I searched but only found 1 thread about it and it was no help at all.
Has anyone used these amps? I know they put out rated, but are they reliable? And what kind of price do they usually run? I have a shop next door to my work that sells them. 2 year warrenty. not a bad looking amp by any means, and puts out just the right amount of power.

Any input you could give me would be appreciated.

thanks

Kevin

I have owned and played with one, it was VERY reliable power, Clean too!! I liked the one I had, I would buy it again if the deal was good enough!! They are CES regulated, so this makes them very good and they do what they say they are going to do!!

I have sold quite a few now and not one bad thing to say and not one back. Puts out full power at 1 and 2 ohms and has precision adjuctable xovers for very accurate tuning. Nice amp 2 thumbs up

I had one last summer for a while. Pushed my 12" Type X at 2 ohms very nicely. I'd get one again if I got a good deal on it.

They are great amp's, it pushes my 4 12's bigtime... but you will need some extra batteries and a high amp altenator as they are power hungry, they use a 200amp ANL fuse. Yes, i'm also the guy who got sponsored by Clarion and i'll find out on May-27th @ Team Shadow's Spring sound Off what the new db score for me is with these amp's.

I dont forsee extra batts, but a high output alt is a item i am buying as well.
I think i may buy one of these amps. unless someone can talk me out of it.
I am looking for the "final" amp. I will never need more than 1500rms, ever.
I am not a spl head, but i like loud music. My stereo now is not quite enough.
I think i will be closer to what i want once i build a ported box but i need more power regardless.

you don't need an new altenator, just get a yellow top and put it in your trunk. I have a yellow top up front and a yellow top in my trunk running over 1500 to subs and 400 to mids and highs and i get no dimming with a 80 amp altenator.Ho alts are overrated and only needed if you run 3000+ to subs from my experience
