I wanna get my wife a car starter, she drives a 2003 Civic 5 spd. I got a $300 gift card as a saftey award to Future Shop and I was gonna use that to buy it anyone have any good suggestions. Id like something with a long range, and I hear that you can get starters with built in timers so they can be set any help would be great 'cause i dont know my *** form my elbow when it comes to starters.

does your local Future Shop install 5 speed car starters??? many future shops do not. if you do buy at FS go with any Directed (Viper) brand car starter. i'm sorry but those NUSTARTS and NORDIC STARTS are junk. i have seen dozens of them sent back for repairs (including my own)in the 5yrs i worked there. not many vipers though. good luck.

Not a fan of the 2-way Vipers (transmitter issues) but the one ways are quite bullet proof and reliable. You will need an additional module for the clutch bypass so be prepared for extra cost.
Starter install $100
Clutch Bypass $50
OEM Alarm Bypass$90 (if equipped...includes door locks)
Chipped key module $50
Install of above module $50
and then the price of the unit itself.
Minimum install should run you $250 + the unit itself. Maximum $340 + unit.

future shop is now stocking 2 units for standard. we have the nordic start(by autostart) ant the newstart(by compustar). My personal fave is the newstart, it has 1500 ft range and is very reliable. also as an add on we have a LCD remote and ant.
