I have heard a lot of neagtive stuf about audiobahn subs. Are they really that bad? Some say they cant handle the rms rating and others say SQ sucks. The price has no meaning to me because i wont be paying MSRP. http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ABNAW1506T Is this sub any good? Looking for a daily driver and can handle the power of a modded D2.

LOL! They show the 10" sub on the site so that you think it's really beefy sub when you compare the size of the motor to the basket/cone/surround. Looking at the specs I find it highly unlikely that you would be able to push 1300W RMS to a 2.5" VC.

I like this guy's review on that site... absolute comedy about the bass boost.

Yeh, to the last guy that posted this review.. I have no doubts WHAT so ever that these subs are loud because my boy had two 10 inch audiobahns that hit harder than my 2 12" alpine type Rs. But, you mentioned that "most subs stop getting loud after a certain volume level" well thats not true, subs will get louder and louder till they explode, its the bass boost and or loudness control on the head unti that allows the sub to get that loud, sum head units' loudness controls become ineffective after a volume of 22 or so, my alpine's did. but a panasonic will continue to *** bass boost even at the highest volume level. so it's not the subs..i know, it would bug the hell outa me when my alpines would only get so loud, cause i knew they could do better.

theyre OK. i hear a lot of good stuff about them, and some bad too but just dont push it TOO hard. go with the rms rating or a little lower and you should be alright. but i also heard that they are pretty crappy with less than rms wattage. good luck.

Audiobahn is your middle-of-the-road sub with state-of-the-bling looks. Sure they look beefy, but they're mediocre. They're a showpiece more than a performer. It's not to say they don't perform. That's why I personally dislike them. It's like a stock Civic DX with 18" chrome rims and spazzed out body kit and whatnot cosmetics.

Install and use them as per the specs provided. If you're wanting it to perform outside of it's specs, then it's possibly going to fart some money smoke. That's usually with most product. If it farts smoke within spec, then you have a valid warranttee issue.
