AUX input???
Hi, I am in need of a deck and I foud an "Alpine CDA 7873 CD Receiver" for pretty cheap the only problem is I don't know if it has any AUX inputs. I never listen to cd's since I have an MP3 player... not an Ipod, an MP3 player and I need something that can go from the headphone jack into the deck. I currently have a stock deck in my Grand am and Im using the casete player to go to my MP3player.
I've been looking on the net and I havent found much. The first review here --> http://www.carreview.com/mfr/alpine/cd-receivers/PRD_97318_2861crx.aspx <-- says it does but thats the ONLY place ive seen anyone say it can play off of another device.
So if anyone has one of these decks or can find something and let me know, it would be great. Thanks everyone.

the only problem with the USB is that it takes more time for the deck to load the songs than i can shuffle through with the MP3 itself... plus for me its a lot easier just to search for specific songs on the MP3 than using a deck to search for what i want

if it has CD changer controls, then there's an ai-net adaptor that changes it to an rca aux input.
see here:
Alpine KCA-121B Male Ai-Net to Female RCA Adapter
then you just need a headphone to RCA adaptor from your mp3 player to plug into the KCA 121

^^can't plug headphones into the usb (when you leave the car), or look at videos, photos, etc.., don't make USB's with enough storage yet for wav files and 3,000 tracks (that's 150+ cd's bit for bit)...so Ipod 120GB it is...and Alpine ipod connection is clean and works very well.

if you have a video deck y cant you do that with usb. yes they are limited in capacity ( 64gb was the bigest last time i checked ) but the SQ of the music is a heck of alot better than AAC compresed files. i compress mine to as fat as my deck can handle witch is 320kb/s. kinda wish they can handle wave lossless
anyway i heard an ipod through aux and it sounds like crap even if its well recorded.
