Someone who is familiar with winisd or something like that, would you be able to give me a good starting point for the box for this sub. I just need box size, and tuning frequency. I'm looking for a 50/50 split between SPL and SQ. Thanks

How do you determine by listening whether the split is 50/50 SPL/SQ or whether it's 60/40?

I meant that I don't want a box tuned at the res frequency of my car, but I would also not like the box to have to sacrafice a lot of loudness in order to have a perfectly flat response curve. In other words, I want it to have a mix of loudness, and good sound at the same time. Pretty much your typical daily driver. Does that explain it a bit better?

try 2.5 cubes +basket+port tuned to 25 hz, should have decent output and sq and fit in a cav's trunk and you will still have space to put stuff in . If you want to go sealed then try 1.8 - 2.4 cubes +basket sealed.
